WHAT IS FIT-PC 2.0?

Fit-PC 2.0 is the world's first Ultra-low power computer, with the performance of a standard desktop PC but requiring just 10W max. to power it - that's >90% less energy than any other desktop around!

Until now, low-power has meant limited performance and very limited applications for everyday use.

Fit-PC 2.0 breaks the mould by being the lowest power PC ever made, yet still having the functionality of a fully-fledged desktop computer. It runs standard Windows XP or Linux with ease, has no problem with traditionally processor-intensive applications such as Flash media (e.g. BBC iPlayer) and its industrial design means reliability and life-time are second to none.

In summary, it really is a PC revolution in a box!

SO, HOW DOES FIT-PC2 COMPARE WITH A STANDARD DESKTOP PC?

The first questions which springs to mind when you hear about 'Super low power' and 'Ultra energy efficient' are,

a) Exactly how 'Ultra-efficient' is it? 10% less electricity? 20%? 50%? Does it really save a relevant amount of energy (and thus money)?

b) "Yeah, but what do i have to sacrifice in terms of performance?"

The answers to those questions for 'Low energy PCs' up to now have
been at best "Up to 60% energy saving" and "A lot of functionality sacrifice". But Fit-PC2 is a refreshing break from that kind of compromise.

We don't claim that it will do everything a standard 150W desktop will do - you can see a comparison by clicking the button to the right - but it will do nigh on anything a standard PC user will need from their Desktop while only using 10 Watts of power.

That is over 90% less energy than a standard PC uses - which for the average PC user equates to savings of approximately £50 per year in electricity (per PC)!

INDEPENDENT REVIEWS:

's Andrew Harrison

"The Fit PC 2 ... is a remarkably small computer at roughly 4.5in square and 1in high [...] it was snappy on Windows or Linux, and quite up to general office requirements, internet browsing and networking duties. {...}

Our measured power consumption figures, [were] very low at 7W idling and 11W under load."
